Headless commerce for a farm-fresh Australian pet food brand.
The product

01
The brand was already the hard part
TuckerTub makes farm-fresh dog food in Victoria. The site has to feel like that, cream, forest green, photography that can carry a raw turkey formula, and still behave like commerce: variations, trial packs, a bag, wallets, and delivery rules that differ between Melbourne and Sydney.
A classic WooCommerce theme can sell. It cannot keep up with a brand that also runs nutrition consultations, a journal, and campaign pages without turning every launch into an engineering ticket.
02
Headless, not homeless
WordPress stayed. WooCommerce stayed. That is the point. The catalog, orders, and the people who already knew how to edit them did not move. Next.js 14 took the storefront: homepage, shop, PDP, difference, story, team, consultation, blog.
The contract is GraphQL (Apollo) for content and catalog reads, Woo REST for the writes that settle an order. Stripe Payment Intents, PayPal, and Apple Pay sit on that path. HubSpot, Mailchimp, Meta and TikTok pixels sit beside it, growth rails, not a plugin stack that paints in eight seconds.
